Dr. Martin Kanovsky
Dr. Martin Kanovsky is board-certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, and echocardiography. He specializes in preventative cardiology, nuclear cardiology, and echocardiography.
Dr. Kanovsky graduated from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science degree, where he was elected to the following honor societies: Phi Kappa Phi, Tau Beta Pi, and Phi Tau Gamma. He then received his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. He was also the recipient of the Mosby Commencement Award for class ranking in the top 5% while at medical school. Upon graduation, he completed both his residency and fellowship training at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. He is presently the president of the Medical Alumni Society of the University of Pennsylvania.
Current appointments for Dr. Kanovsky include Clinical Assistant Professor at George Washington University School of Medicine and at the Georgetown University School of Medicine. He has served as Chief at the Division of Cardiology, CCU Director and Noninvasive Cardiology Director at Sibley Memorial Hospital. He is currently the Medical Director of the CardioCare Diagnostic Center. Dr. Kanovsky also serves as a physician reviewer for Medicare and Medicaid at the Delmarva Foundation. He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology, American College of Physicians, American Society of Echocardiography, and the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology.
Dr. Kanovsky has been practicing cardiology since 1983. He has been listed as one of the Top Doctors in the Washingtonian magazine since 2002. Dr. Kanovsky currently has privileges at the following hospitals:
